Veterans Day

CMIT-VetsDayPic

Ms.Nick was in the Air Force from 1994-1998.  After basic training,  she went to Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas to complete training as a medical specialist.  A medical specialist works in clinics and in the hospital and does many things that a nurse would do.  I also was trained and was a certified EMT.  After leaving Sheppard AFB, she was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.  This is the second largest hospital in the Air Force, and they served veterans from Kentucky, West Virginia, and Illinios.  While at Wright-Patterson, I worked on a post-surgical unit for a few years and then I later worked in the Primary Care Clinic.  she had many duties, from drawing blood to starting IV's.

"It was a wonderful experience and I am glad that I had the opportunity to serve my country.
