CMIT Elementary Students Participated City of Laurel MLK Day

On Monday, January 15, 2018 The CMIT Chorus had the privilege of performing for Laurel’s first annual Day of Service honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This year marked the 50th anniversary of the assassination of this great man and the city of Laurel decided to commemorate this anniversary by sponsoring a day devoted to serving others. Children and adults from the city came together and made crafts that were to be given to sick children in the hospital. High school age students also travelled to Laurel’s local thrift store and put together business attire for those in need so that they could prepare for job interviews.
